Warrior-Advocate for the middle class and our most vulnerable.
About the Candidate
John Gregory Vincent, MBA, is a retired Navy Command Master Chief, having dedicated most of his 20 years of service to the submarine force. Alongside his wife Deb, he owns The Submarine Way LLC, a leadership and organizational development consulting firm. A Christian, devoted husband, and father, John is running for office because of his deep concerns about the ongoing attacks on our Constitution and the complete lack of representation for middle-class families and our most vulnerable residents in District 7.
In a district where over 100,000 people rely on Medicaid benefits, the majority of public schools receive Title 1 funding, half of all households earn less than $55,000 annually, and 26% of residents live at or below the poverty line—this neglect is unacceptable. John is committed to bringing attention, focus, and action to the needs of these communities.
Platform
- John firmly supports bottom-up economics, not the other way around. He believes history has shown that wealth from the richest almost never “trickles down.”
- He is a steadfast believer in government as it was designed in the Constitution. While he acknowledges it must evolve with the times, his first question will always be, “What does the Constitution say?”
- John firmly believes people should be free to live their lives as they see fit. If someone isn’t harming others, it’s no one else’s business.
- He believes a woman’s body is hers—period. Who people love, how they dress, or how they identify is their choice, and it’s none of his business—or anyone else’s.
- Having personally struggled with severe ADHD and alcoholism—and now 22 years sober by the grace of God—John is deeply committed to championing addiction recovery and mental health programs.
- He doesn’t care what bathroom adults use, and he believes no one else should either.
- John believes his opponent’s agenda has zero interest in advocating for the middle class or the most vulnerable people—who make up over 90% of this district.
- He is a strong supporter of Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, Title 1 funding, ACA benefits, and other federal programs that directly support the middle class and those most in need.
- John is a defender of the Second Amendment. He carries himself, but also supports mandatory waiting periods, closing all gun show loopholes, and a total ban on assault weapons. To him, common-sense gun laws are just that—common sense.
- He supports a $15 federal minimum wage. While he acknowledges it’s barely a living wage, it is legislatively possible and long overdue. As a small business owner himself, John knows firsthand that claims of higher wages causing soaring costs are false. He believes tariffs hurt working folks, not a living wage.
