Sep 7 | North Strand Democrats will have a tent at the Popular Park Labor Day Celebration. We will be promoting our candidates and assisting in voter registration.

Sep 8 | 5:30 pm (2nd Tuesday) – Carolina Forest Dems. Location: Carolina Forest Library. Local Candidates Diane Middleton, candidate for District 3 School Board and Jacqualyn Meadow, candidate for House District 56 will by speaking. Guest Speaker: Davita Foushee will teach us about the important volunteer job of Phone Banking. We will be targeting people to help with Diane’s and Jacqualyn’s campaign. 60 days to Election Day! Now is the time to make a difference. We don’t expect you to do everything, but we expect everyone to do something.

In addition, Davita Foushee will be providing us with details about the “Coordinated Campaign” and what we all can do to win back the South Carolina State House. Sep 13 | 11am-6pm (Sunday) – !!! NOTE NEW DATE !!! South Enders Democratic Club Annual Beach Bash. Location: Myrtle Beach State Park, 4401 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29575, Hut #1 (look for the American flag and South Enders sign). Lunch around 1pm (come and go as you will). SEDC members feel free to bring a dish for 4 (salad, etc.) or munchies to share; hot dogs and hamburgers are provided by the club. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Please bring a friend or two or three. Sep 14 | 6:00 pm (Monday) – Special Called HCDP Executive Committee Meeting. Location: Bethel AME Church Fellowship Hall, 1530 Racepath Ave., Conway, SC. Registration beginning at 5:30 pm.
Sep 15 | 4:00-7:00 pm (Tuesday) – National Voter Registration Day Candidate Cook Out and Voter Protection Clinic. Location: HCDP Office, 311C Beaty St, Conway. Coordinated 7th Congressional District Cook Out to support John Vincent for Congress and all SC Democratic Candidates. Drop in to have a Hot Dog and drink on your way home or just come out to see other Democrats.
Also, the HCDP Voter Protection Committee will provide assistance to check your voter registration on-line, info on absentee voting, early voting, polling locations and our candidates. For straight ticket voting, be prepared.

Child trafficking is a pervasive undercover crime that affects the most vulnerable in society – our children, girls and boys. In October, the Carolina Forest Dems will spotlight this crucial issue with a full presentation by experts who live on the Grand Strand. All are welcome to attend and bring your friends, regardless of political party to educate yourself on the signs and strategies you can use if you personally encounter an incident of trafficking. Nov 5 | 10:00 am (Thursday) – Certification Hearing. Location: Voter Registration and Election office, 1515 4th Avenue, Conway. Final ballot issues will be resolved and election results will become official.
