General Principles

  • HCDP does not discriminate against any viewpoints, but all content is moderated to maintain a safe and inclusive community.
  • All participants are fully responsible for the content they post.

Standards of Conduct

  • Stay on topic – Comments must relate to the post, issue, or discussion. Off-topic content may be removed.
  • Respect others – Abusive, vulgar, offensive, racist, threatening, or harassing language, as well as personal attacks, will not be tolerated.
  • No spam or solicitation – Content that promotes products, services, or unrelated websites will be removed.
  • No false authority – Comments that give the appearance of legal, medical, or financial advice will be removed.
  • Protect privacy – Do not share personal information (yours or others’) such as addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses.
  • Respect copyright – Only share content you have the right to post. Posts containing copyrighted or infringing material may be removed under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
  • AI-generated content – AI-generated images or media may be removed at the discretion of HCDP administrators if deemed misleading, inappropriate, or off-topic.
  • Meme content – “Meme” image macros, videos, gifs, text, and hashtags used as comments may be removed at the discretion of HCDP administrators if deemed misleading, inappropriate, or off-topic.
  • Age requirement – Only participants over 13 years of age may post content.

Moderation & Enforcement

  • Comments or posts that violate these standards may be removed without notice.
  • Repeat violations may result in users being blocked and their IP address logged.
  • HCDP reserves the right to update this policy at any time without notice.

Important Notices

  • Communications made through social media, comments, or website forms do not constitute official legal notice to the Horry County Democratic Party or its officers.
  • All user-generated content is considered released into the public domain unless otherwise stated. Do not submit anything you do not wish to be shared publicly.
