October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Hispanic Heritage Month continues through Oct 15 to recognize the significant strides of Hispanics in the growth of the U.S. This year’s theme is “Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America.”
Oct 2 (rescheduled from Sep 25) – Westside Democrats meets Monday at 5:30 pm. We will be dedicating the “new” little library at Conway’s Community Garden, just off Hwy 378, next to A Father’s Place. Oct 8 (Sunday) – Fiesta Hispana, 4:00 pm at M Garden, 3506 Bush River Rd, Columbia SC. Authentic Cuisine, Live Performances, and Special Guest: Julie Chavez Rodriguez, political rights activist and Compaign Manager for the Joe Biden 2024 presidential campaign.
