John "Pete" Bember

John “Pete” Bember for SC Senate (District 33) is a proud graduate of Conway High School and Newberry College, SC, where he earned a BA in Accounting and Business. During his time at Newberry, Pete also excelled on the football field, earning multiple All-American honors. After his college and sports career, he transitioned into the corporate world as a Buyer for JB White’s Department Stores, followed by a successful 20+ year career in Sales Management.

In 2007, Pete embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by purchasing the Atlanta franchise of THM Magazine, which served 500,000 local homeowners through print media. Recently, Pete returned to his hometown of Conway, SC, with a commitment to giving back to his community. With over 20 years of experience in the Insurance and Mortgage Industry, Pete has worked extensively with Wealth Partners, specializing in Traditional, Non-QM, and Construction loans.

Pete’s dedication to community service is evident through his various roles, including Vice President of the Conway High Educational Board, Conway Recreational Coach for the developmental league for kids aged 9-13, and active participation in organizations such as the Jaycees, Rotary Club, Lighthouse Youth Services, Housing Authority Board, Project Feed the Homeless, First Tee, Junior Achievement, and more.
