We’ve heard it over and over again: how “inefficient” our Federal Government is, and even our State agencies. But let’s get real. In South Carolina, the buffoons running our State, County, and Local Governments are really out for themselves!
Take the $2 billion “error” as an example.
HOW do you miss $2 billion? And how did the State Legislature allow Governor McMaster (McMiser) to use $1.8 billion of this “surplus” as a rebate to SC taxpayers?
Meanwhile, South Carolina is already violating the separation of church and state by allowing SC Education Lottery funds to be used to pay FOR-PROFIT SCHOOLS and RELIGIOUSLY SPONSORED SCHOOLS!
Our public schools rank 46th out of 50, and yet our government is funneling “education” funds to support their crony religious and for-profit schools.
Why do we need to talk about this?
Because IF the Feds vaporize the Department of Education, and as MAGA says, “We’ll just give funds to the states and let them allocate it,” we KNOW the $2 billion or so SC gets now will be a lesser amount. And with the bozos in our State Legislature? Who knows how — and on what — they’ll spend it!
But you can bet some of it will go toward those “private” schools somehow, someway. Or at the very least, some “charter schools” that are using public funds for non-public purposes.
Let’s not let this happen. Stop it now!
Call your local State Senator or Representative and tell them: YOU DO NOT SUPPORT USING EDUCATION LOTTERY FUNDS FOR ANY PRIVATE OR RELIGIOUS SCHOOL!
Charter schools should also come under the control of LOCAL school boards — not be autonomous!
CALL YOUR SCHOOL BOARD REP AND TELL THEM: NO MORE PUBLIC FUNDS FOR CHARTER SCHOOLS!
