Sep 12 (2nd Tuesday) – Carolina Forest Democrats, 5:30 pm at the Carolina Forest Library. Guest Speaker: Julinna Oxley, Professor of Philosophy at CCU. She will speak about the newly formed group, Moms for Liberty, a conservative-leaning parents’ rights organization that has expanded to Horry County. According to the local chairperson, one of their key issues is “removing inappropriate books from school libraries.” Please join us and bring a friend! Share please. Sep 15 – Oct 15 – Hispanic Heritage Month. To recognize the significant strides of Hispanics in the growth of the U.S., this year’s theme is “Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America.”

Sep 19 (Tuesday) – National Voter Registration Day, 10 am – 6 pm. Join local businesses & leaders to register voters, assist with absentee voting, restore voting to ex-offenders, and register youth poll workers (16-17 yr old). Sponsored by HCDP at six locations:

Sep 30 (Saturday) – Democrats at NMB Irish Italian International Festival on Main Street, 9 am to 4 pm. Candidates are encouraged to come and campaign under our tent. We will be doing voter registration and promoting the Democratic Party’s platform and achievements under the Biden Administration. Tent hosted by North Strand Dems and GunSense Committee.
