Join the HCDP Gun Sense Committee to march in the 2019 MLK parade. Marchers to Line-up at 11:15 a.m., at 2306 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach (Harry’s Restaurant). The parade starts at 26th Avenue North & Ocean Boulevard at noon. Parade route: 26th Avenue & Ocean Boulevard to 10th Avenue & Plyler Park. Restrooms available at start and finish of parade, as well as water. Please call HCDP with any questions.

Chris Carr to receive MLK Award
Before the parade, starting at 8 a.m. in the Convention Center, there will be the MLK Annual Community Awards Breakfast. At that time Chris Carr founding member of the Gun Sense Committee will receive a highly deserved award for civic activism. Chris is highly motivated in carrying forward our efforts to reduce gun violence and has made many contributions to the Myrtle Beach and Horry County community, particularly in the area of voter rights.
