Reporting Election Concerns

If you have an election concern, report it to our HCDP Voter Protection Clinic at (843)488-4237.

Here are some other steps you can take:

1. Complete an Affidavit: Fill out an affidavit detailing your concern and have it notarized—most banks offer notary services for free. Bring the notarized affidavit to the Certification Hearing of the Commissioners, scheduled for November 8th at 10:00 am, at the Voter Registration and Election office, 1515 4th Avenue in Conway. Please confirm this schedule by calling 843-915-5440. During the public input session, you can present your affidavit. Blank affidavit forms are available at the HCDP office (311-C Beaty Street, Conway) or can be downloaded using the attached form.

2. Contact the Director of Voter Registration and Elections: You may also email Sandy Martin at martins@horrycountysc.gov or call (843)915-5440 and leave a message. Sandy will respond as time permits.

3. Submit a Complaint to the State Election Commission: The State Election Commission provides a Comment or Complaint form on their website. Visit scvotes.gov, select the “Contact” tab, and choose the appropriate complaint or fraud form.

4. Call the South Carolina Democratic Party Hotline: For voter concerns, dial (855)785-0222.
