The GOP and the MAGA minions are in full bloom this spring—with some of the most ridiculous and idiotic events unfolding right before our eyes!
According to the dictionary, buffoonery is defined as “behavior that is ridiculous or foolish.” A synonym? Clowning! And wow, do those definitions perfectly describe what’s going on in the White House, in South Carolina, and even right here in Horry County.
The GOP has run amok, drunk on power and ego in both Houses of Congress and in the South Carolina State House.
Consider this: In just over 70 days, Republicans in Washington have enabled and supported the loss of a reported 100,000 federal jobs. They’ve shut down Social Security offices, the CFPB, and USAID, and are in the process of dismantling the Department of Education, all while clawing back $2.5 billion from South Carolina. Next on their chopping block? HHS—with plans to eliminate another 10,000 jobs. And their so-called “signature” budget? It proposes slashing $880 billion from Medicaid while delivering massive tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans and large corporations.
Ridiculous. This is buffoonery in action.
Oh, but wait—there’s more!
Signalgate: The MAGA minions were reportedly planning attacks—yes, actual battle plans—in a public chat room, with a media person in the chat! Turns out, they’ve also been using Gmail—a public domain—for general and potentially sensitive communications. You can’t make this stuff up.
And still not done.
How about this: U.S.-protected immigrants being swept off the streets, flown out of the country, and thrown into El Salvador prisons—without due process. Now the Trumpers say there’s nothing they can do about it. Meanwhile, the U.S. is paying to keep them imprisoned in El Salvador! When did Congress approve that?
And through all this buffoonery, the GOP-controlled Congress has done NOTHING to rein in Trump.
Now, Trump is signaling he wants a third term.
We must challenge every Republican candidate and financially support Democratic tickets to ensure that Trump and the MAGA buffoons NEVER control our country again!
