We believe… quality health care is a fundamental right, not a privilege reserved for the few. Universal Health Care ensures that every American, regardless of income, employment status, or pre-existing conditions, can receive the medical care they need.

Affordable prescription drug costs are an essential part of this vision. No one should have to choose between paying for life-saving medication and meeting basic living expenses. We advocate for policies that lower prescription costs, making essential medicines accessible to all, and ensuring that no American is left behind due to the high cost of health care.

Health care equity is not just a goal; it’s a necessity for a thriving, just society. We are committed to fighting for Universal Health Care and reducing prescription drug prices to protect the well-being of every individual in our community and across the nation.

We believe… the environment must be protected, not just for us, but for future generations and that the infrastructure in South Carolina needs to be drastically improved as it impacts so much more than transportation.

We believe… unity is better than division and we can work together to protect civil rights, voting rights, women’s rights, workers’ rights, LGBTQ rights, and the rights of people with disabilities.

We believe… Black Lives Matter.

We believe… that although the United States Constitution guarantees the right to bear arms, but it does not mean guns should be readily available to anyone who wants one; there must be sensible gun laws to protect all Americans.

We believe… veterans are heroes who should be treated with dignity and respect for their service to America.

We believe… voting is a right that should be protected, not suppressed for political gain.

We believe… Social Security and Medicare are binding contracts between the United States and seniors who have paid into them for years and who need guaranteed healthcare and a pension when they retire. These programs must be expanded, not destroyed.

We believe… that we can all work toward a better America for everyone – for an America where justice really is blind and where all police can be trusted and respected, not threatening and feared, and for an America where we never again have to be afraid our hard-won democracy may be destroyed by our elected leaders.
