Dems Care; Help with Florence Recovery

Although most South Carolinians and many Horry County residents are breathing easier now that Hurricane Florence has exited the area, in many cases leaving less damage than anticipated, we know this is a slow-motion disaster for many residents of Horry County who live near the waterway and rivers all of which makes our county so appealing.

Residents are now struggling to save their homes, belongings and pets, knowing a long clean-up process awaits when they can return home. Many of our local Democrats find themselves in this unfortunate predicament.

In times like these, Horry County citizens come together to help, showing up to help in any way they can. These efforts will continue long after the flood waters have receded, and HCDP will be actively involved.

Right now, you can help. Donate to the several charitable organizations serving our area. Think about what you can do and then do it. Contribute your money, your time, your muscle – whatever you can to ease the burden on our Horry County friends and neighbors who fall victim to the storm and its aftermath.

You may also support the Horry County Democratic Party’s effort to collect personal hygiene items, towels and wash cloths by dropping items at our office in Conway.

Dems care, especially when natural disaster strikes in our back yard!
