What is being “cost efficient”? The most common definition is “value for your money”, or you get what you pay for. Pretty simple. Should be every person’s way of life. Well, the Trump MAGAs are trying to say that our entire Federal Gov’t is not only “inefficient” but corrupt and full of fraud and misappropriations.
And they, Trump’s minions, are finding this out on their very first visit without ANY prior knowledge of just what is going on and why Congress approved the spending!
So, they just start cutting programs and people, without really understanding what those programs do.
Like they cut the Docs and scientists that were working on curing the bird flu. Yes, that one, that caused egg prices to go “galatic high”. Or the folks monitoring our nuclear energy programs! Once they realized their mistake, they tried to correct it, but those folks had moved on.
ALL that experience and knowledge was lost as was in a lot of other places. NOT very cost efficient!
Here is a short list of what is on the chopping block for us:
- Loss of Veterans Admin and healthcare professionals
- Loss of NIH grant to Clemson, $28M, USC$70M
- Horry County Govt assistance, $152M
- Little River Med Center, $95M
- Conway affordable housing assistance $21M
That sounds like a lot of “moola”! It is, but chump change compared to what we would lose if Dept of Education is vaporized!
How about $2.5 Billion!! Yes, that’s a “B”!
The cuts would affect everything from free lunches to Spec Ed teachers and programs all way up to Pell Grants and Direct loans.
