This is the theme for the 9th Annual SHORE Dinner held by the Horry County Democratic Party. We are celebrating at long last our victory in the last presidential election that brought Joe Biden to the presidency of the United States of America. The former vice-president who served with President Obama for eight years, and one of the youngest people (at age 29) elected to the United States Senate.
It also brought us Kamala Harris, a former U.S. Senator and Attorney General of California, as our first female vice-president, and the highest ranking female official in U.S. history, as well as the first African American and first Asian American vice-president.
These accomplishments are worth a CELEBRATION!
We are also using this year’s SHORE dinner to remind us of commitments pledged. To continue to fulfill the promises we as democrats have made. Commitments to alleviating poverty, bringing healthcare to all, for fair and honest elections for all, and for justice and humanity for all-just to name a few. We use this fundraiser, and others, to continue our work to help improve the lives of all Americans.
This year’s event will be held on Friday, October 22, from 6 to 10 pm. The reception will start at 6:00 pm, and Dinner at 7:00 pm. It will be held in the ballroom at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club, 9000 N. Ocean Blvd., in Myrtle Beach.
Get ready for fun and camaraderie in all forms! There will be a dinner Buffett, Music and Dancing, a silent auction with over 100 Items! And Candidate forums and a Guest Speaker to be named later.
Please make your plans now as time is running out! The ticket cost is $85 per person, and the deadline for ordering your tickets is October 18 at the close of the business day.

Another popular feature we’re bringing back is our Silent Auction, with a wide variety of great items donated by local businesses and supporters. Just one thing to keep in mind: no credit cards – cash or checks only.
Because WE CARE for our loyal Dem attendees, guests, speakers, and those who prepare and serve our dinner and drinks, we respectfully request all attendees provide vaccination proof prior to the event.
