Horry County Democrats are congratulating Christale Spain, who was just named the new Executive Director of the South Carolina Democratic Party. Christale is returning to SCDP, where she had been Deputy Director, after taking a leave of absence to work on Senator Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign. On the Sanders campaign, Christale served as SC Political Outreach Director and as Primary State Director.
“Christale is a tremendous talent who has built strong relationships across South Carolina,” says Jaime Harrison, SCDP Chair. “I am looking forward to working with her and the team this cycle.”

Outgoing executive director Jason Perkey is heading to Wisconsin to oversee the coordinated campaign effort, including a top Senate race and coordinating efforts in this presidential battleground state.
