The Horry County Democratic Party invites area residents to hear local Democratic candidates speak at the Hon. John R. Lewis “Good Trouble” Drive Up and Virtual Stump on Saturday, September 26, 2020. The event will be held at two Horry County locations with multiple candidates present at each location.

Myrtle Beach Location

Time: 10:00 – 10:30am

Greater True Light Ministries SOP

485 Robert M. Grissom Pkwy, Myrtle Beach, SC

Speakers: Melissa Watson – U.S. 7th Congressional District and Tony Cahill – South Carolina House District 107

Conway Location

Time: 11:15 – 11:45am

Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church

504 Church St. (Hwy 501 West), Conway, SC

Speakers: Melissa Watson – U.S. 7th Congressional District, Bruce Fischer – South Carolina House District 56 and Edward Robinson – Horry County Board of Education District 9

Attendees can drive up and park at either location beginning 30 minutes before the start of the event. They can remain in their vehicles or stand next to them. When outside of their vehicles, social distancing must be maintained and masks must be worn. Attendees must provide their own masks. Please note there will be limited restroom facilities at each location.

There will be a designated press area behind a barrier in front of the speakers to maintain a 50-foot distance. No one is allowed to approach the candidates before, during or after the event for safety reasons.

HCDP Club members will be at the event to manage parking and crowd control. The Horry County Sheriff’s Department will be on hand for added security.
