U.S. Senate candidates Gloria Tinubu and Jaime Harrison will be the featured speakers at HCDP’s SHORE Dinner Saturday, September 28th 6-10 p.m., at the Bay Watch Resort and Conference Center. Deadline for making reservations and submitting payment is Friday, September 20th.

To register for the SHORE Dinner, please visit ActBlue.

Tickets are $85 plus a $3.50 ActBlue service charge. A table for eight is $680 plus a $27.00 service fee. Payments must be made in advance as cash cannot be accepted at the door. Only cash or checks will be accepted for Silent Auction items or donations.

Former chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party, Harrison is the son of a single teenage mom who overcame the challenges of poverty with the help of teachers and mentors who believed in him. From a mobile home to Yale University and Georgetown Law, Jaime is dedicated to fighting for opportunity for all South Carolinians.

An economist, educator, mother, and grandmother, Tinubu has sought to empower and uplift others through public service and fierce advocacy for economic freedom, economic security, and economic justice for all. She has demonstrated insight and wisdom, and is dedicated to creating positive outcomes for people on the margins as well as for those who have the necessary tools for success.

“We are delighted that both Gloria and Jaime will address Democrats at our SHORE Dinner,” said HCDP Chair Don Kohn. “Both are outstanding individuals and candidates and deserving of our support as they seek our party’s nomination to challenge Sen. Lindsey Graham.”

According to Kohn, the 2020 general election “will be the most consequential election in our lifetime” as America will determine whether Donald Trump remains in office and continues to do damage to our nation.

“But almost equally important is the opportunity to replace Graham, who after blasting Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign, has now become one of his closest allies in the Senate, all the while ignoring the needs of South Carolina,” said Kohn. “We are blessed with two great candidates in Gloria and Jaime, and excited to have the opportunity to hear about their vision for our state and the nation.”
