Most Horry County municipal elections are being held on Tuesday, November 7, with Loris holding its elections on Tuesday, December 5. We encourage everyone to get out and vote in these non-partisan contests.
In-person absentee voting has begun. If you meet any of the requirements for eligibility, such as being 65 years old, working, or away on vacation, or many other reasons, you may vote at the Voter Registration and Election office at 1515 4th Avenue in Conway through November 6th.
If you are voting absentee by mail, please remember that your ballot must be witnessed. Please let us know at (843)488-4237 if your ballot had a sticker or stamp reminding you of this.
You can check your precinct polling location online at scvotes.gov or call the Horry County Democratic Party headquarters for help at (843)488-4237.
You can also find your local polling place on our website here: Horry County Polling Places
This is also a very good time to get your free permanent Voter Registration Identification Card at Horry County Voter Registration and Elections Department in Conway at the address above. If you have one, bring your blue paper voter registration form.
This ID card is good for the rest of your life as long as you live anywhere in South Carolina. It requires only that you update your address if you move, which can be done online. With it, you do not have to worry about an ID if you don’t have a driver’s license or if that license is expired or suspended. Best of all, it’s free.
For more information, call Horry County Democratic Party (843)488-4237. The office is open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
And don’t forget to vote in your local municipal elections on November 7 and December 5! Your vote matters, especially in local elections.
