CONGRATULATIONS! You are qualified to run for the position of State Executive Committee (EC) member representing Horry County. Each county is allowed one male and one female State EC as well as one male and one female Alternate State EC.

EC members must nominate themselves and are responsible for their own campaign materials. HCDP will distribute all campaign materials to County Delegates prior to convention and publish them through our newsletter and social media sites.

All candidates for State EC and Alternate EC will have an opportunity to present themselves at the March 19 HCDP County Convention. Delegates to the 2022 convention will vote for the candidate of their choice and the winners will be announced at the end of the convention.

The State Executive Committee member is the link between HCDP and the South Carolina Democratic Party (SCDP). They meet in Columbia at least five times per year and are responsible for executing and directing the policies of the SCDP through their interactions with the HCDP Executive Committee and its Officers.
