What to Know Before You Go…

The Horry County Democratic Party will hold precinct reorganization meetings and our county convention on March 24, 2018 at the Academy of Technology and Academics, located at the intersection of US Hwy 701N and Hwy 22. Between now and March 24, here are some important things to know and consider before you attend this event.

Statewide, 7th Congressional and Horry County candidates will be present! This will be a great opportunity to meet our Democratic candidates and hear them speak.

County party officer candidates needed: Those interested in running for a county party office should contact Nancy Anderson at 843-340-1595 as soon as possible so their announcements can be included in the HCDP newsletter.

Your precinct name: If you do not know the name of the precinct where you vote, look it up now on scvotes.gov or call Horry County Voter Registration and Elections at 843-915-5440. If you have moved, be sure to change your address with Horry County Voter Registration and Elections. Bring your voter registration card if you have it.

When registration begins: Registration will begin at 9:15am. Reorganization meetings will begin promptly at 10am.

Resolutions: Think about issues of concern to you and others in your precinct which should be submitted to the convention for consideration.

HCDP clubs and committees will have tables at this event. Participants will be able to learn more about the activities of our clubs and committees and sign up to get involved.

Lunch: A zero waste lunch will be catered on site by Drew’s Backyard BBQ. Choice of BBQ, turkey or veggie burger sandwiches along with chips, cookie/brownie or fruit cup and beverage will be offered. Save time. Purchase your tickets in advance by cash or check for $12 at the HCDP office, 311C Beaty Street, Conway, or for $13 on line at this link: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/hconv2018

Participants may bring their own lunches.
