On March 19th, 2022, representatives from the Horry County Democratic Party Gun Sense Action Committee and the North Strand Democrats, participated at the North Myrtle Beach’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival. Having a table and tent set up with signage, those present were pleasantly met with members of the public who stopped by to get information and to ask questions about voting, about the party, and how to become registered to vote.
It was an eventful day as up to thirty interested community members engaged and several made significant donations. Many were very interested in obtaining literature and information about the Gun Sense Action Committee as they expressed concern for friends, family members, and neighbors who have been affected by gun violence.
We wish to express our gratitude to those who took their time to tend to the booth and to the supporters who attended. Overall, it was an enjoyable time, but for a few Republican-minded people who appeared visibly upset by our calm and collected presence at the event.
